Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why are donation level adjustments being implemented for the 2014 football season and beyond?
A: The recent success of the Aggie football program has included three straight FBS bowl appearances and a conference championship. The desire to remain competitive on the national level is not only a goal of the Utah State Athletics department, but is expressed by our fans, alumni and friends.
The Utah State Athletics department ranks in the bottom third of the Mountain West Conference in terms of overall budget. All revenue streams must be analyzed in order to maximize resources in support of more than 400 student-athletes and 14 varsity programs.
Q: How will the donation level adjustments be utilized by Aggie Athletics?
A: By adjusting the Big Blue Scholarship Fund priority seating program for football, USU Athletics generates necessary resources that will be used to fund rising scholarship costs and provide room and board, books, and academic support to current and future Aggie student-athletes.
By directly supporting scholarship costs, USU Athletics is able to reallocate additional revenue to enhance the game day experience for fans, continue to attract talented student-athletes with improved amenities, and retain successful coaching staffs by funding competitive salaries.
Q: I am a current football season ticket holder. How do the 2014 adjustments affect me?
A: While the purchase price of west side chair back, east side reserved, and general admission season tickets will not be increased, some patrons sitting in Big Blue Scholarship Fund priority seating areas may see an increase in their annual donation required to keep their current seat location.
In addition to the west side chair back seating area, rows 1-12 of the three middle sections of the south end zone (D,E,F) will be included as a reserved Big Blue Scholarship Fund priority seating area at the $100 per seat level. The ticket purchase price for these areas will increase from $95 to $130.
Q: Why require a separate priority seating donation in addition to the season ticket cost?
A: Utah State University Athletics uses the revenue generated from Big Blue Scholarship Fund priority seating gifts to help offset approximately $4.3M in annual student-athletes scholarship costs paid to the university. In return for your contribution to the Big Blue Scholarship Fund, your gift is 80% tax deductable and the Big Blue Scholarship Fund provides you with benefits such as preferred parking, access to single game and post season tickets in advance of the general public, and much more. It is important for all Aggies to become members of the Big Blue Scholarship Fund.
For Big Blue Scholarship Fund membership benefit information visit bigbluefund.net.
Q: How do I know if I am sitting in a Big Blue Scholarship Fund priority seating area?
A: Chair back seats along the west side and the first 12 rows of sections D, E, F in the south end zone of Romney Stadium are considered Big Blue Scholarship Fund priority seating areas. A map detailing specific seat locations and the associated per-seat donation requirements is enclosed.
Q: When is the deadline to renew my Aggie season tickets?
A: May 1 is the deadline to renew your football season tickets and is the recommended deadline to renew your annual gift to the Big Blue Scholarship Fund (if applicable) to avoid delays in the delivery of your season tickets and parking.
Aug 30 is the deadline to renew your men's basketball season tickets.

Q: I am a current season ticket holder. Do I have to participate in the seat selection process?
A: No. Only season ticket holders who have renewed prior to the appropriate deadline (May 1 for football and August 30 for men's basketball) and wish to view available seat locations and/or make a new seat selection should participate in this event. However, you will still need to renew your tickets prior to the deadlines to retain your current seats.
