Amy Crosbie Named Senior Woman's Administrator at Weber State

LOGAN, Utah - Weber State University announced Friday it has hired Amy Crosbie to serve as an Associate Athletics Director and its Senior Woman's Administrator. Crosbie will begin her tenure at Weber State on Monday, March 29.

Crosbie, who graduated from Utah State University in 2002 with a degree in family and consumer science, served as an academic coordinator for USU's student-athlete services for the past seven years. Prior to that, she spent two years as an assistant coach for the Aggies Volleyball program.

In her current position at Utah State, Crosbie served as the CHAMPS/Life Skills Coordinator and fulfilled academic duties overseeing men's basketball, men's golf, women's softball and was working this season with women's soccer, volleyball and men's/women's track & field.

She serves on the DIA National CHAMPS Board and was a two-time NCAA Regional Leadership Facilitator. She is currently a mentor to new CHAMPS coordinators for the NCAA/CHAMPS Life Skills Program. She will be facilitating this year at the 2010 NCAA Career in Sports Forum, held in Indianapolis, for student-athletes to discover the professional world of collegiate athletics.

Crosbie has traveled the country presenting a new curriculum titled "BRANDED A LEADER" which is in partnership with the Center for the Study of Sport in Society and the National Consortium for Academic and Sport. She chairs the Student-Athletes Advisory Committee at USU and teaches the athletics section of Connections, USU 1010, which is taught to all incoming student-athletes during the Fall semester.

Crosbie was a four-year letterwinner for Utah State's volleyball team from 1997-2000 as an outside hitter and helped led the Aggies to their first-ever NCAA Tournament in 2000 as USU advanced to the second round.
