Tues., April 8 --- at Idaho State, 4 p.m.
• Utah State's softball team (15-20, 4-5) will continue its 2014 season this week with a non-conference game at Idaho State (21-15) on Tuesday, April 8 at 4 p.m.

• Senior second baseman Allison Lenzora hit .417 last week in helping Utah State to a 2-3 record with a road loss at BYU (5-4) and a neutral win against Utah Valley (10-9), followed by a 1-2 record against San José State in Mountain West action as USU lost the first two games to the Spartans (9-0, 12-4), before winning the series finale (16-8). Lenzora began her week by going 1-for-3 at the plate against BYU with a run scored, and scored another run against UVU. In the second game against SJSU, Lenzora went 1-for-2 at the plate with one RBI and one run scored. She had her best game of the week in the series final against the Spartans going 3-for-3 at the plate with two runs scored and four RBI. For the week, Lenzora hit .417 (5-12) with five runs scored and five RBI with a double and a triple. She also scored a run in four of the five games played during the week.

• Utah State men's golf will continue its 2014 spring season on Monday and Tuesday, April 7-8 in Scottsdale, Ariz., at the Wyoming hosted Cowboy Classic.

Last Competition
4th/15 --- at South Dakota State Invitational, Primm, Nev.
• Utah State finished in fourth-place out of 15 teams with a 34-over 898 (296-290-312) at the South Dakota State hosted Jackrabbit Invitational in its last competition. On the season, Utah State has now competed in eight tournaments and has recorded seven top-10 finishes, including five top-five places. Sophomore Seokwon Jeon tied for 14th-place with a 5-over par 221 (73-67-81), senior Tanner Higham tied for 23rd-place with a 9-over 225 (72-75-78), senior Grahm Schmaltz tied for 29th-place with a 10-over 226 (74-74-78), freshman Braxton Miller tied for 35th-place with a 12-over 228 (77-74-77) and sophomore Reed Platke tied for 63rd-place with a 21-over 237 (77-81-79).

Utah State men's tennis (9-10, 0-2) will continue its 2014 season this week with three Mountain West matches as it hosts Nevada on Wednesday, April 9 at 11 a.m., followed by road matches at New Mexico on Friday, April 11 at 1 p.m. and at Air Force on Sunday, April 13 at 11 a.m.

• Utah State posted an 0-2 record last week with a 6-1 loss at No. 22 Boise State, followed by a 4-0 loss to Middle Tennessee in Boise, Idaho. Against the Broncos, junior Marcus Fritz posted USU's only win with a straight sets victory at No. 2 singles (7-6, 6-2). Other Aggies to compete during the week included seniors Fredrik Peterson and Andrew Whiting, junior Matt Sweet, and freshmen Dennis Baumgartner and Sebastian Schneider.

• Utah State women's tennis (12-8, 0-4) will conclude its 2014 regular season this week with two Mountain West road matches as it plays at Colorado State on Friday, April 11 at 2 p.m. and at Wyoming on Sunday, April 13 at 10 a.m.

W, 4-3 --- MONTANA
• Utah State posted a 2-0 home record last week with a 4-3 win against Montana State and a 4-1 win against Northern Arizona to improve to 12-8 on the season and tie the single-season school record for wins. Against the Grizzlies, junior McKenzie Davis posted a straight sets win at No. 1 singles (6-3, 6-2), sophomore Kallie Sperry won in straight sets at No. 2 singles (6-3, 6-2), and freshman Nini Guensler won in straight sets at No. 3 singles (6-1, 7-5). USU also claimed the doubles point as Davis and Sperry combined for an 8-2 win at the first position, while Guensler and fellow freshman Lexi Turley teamed up for an 8-2 win at the third position. Against the Lumberjacks, Davis won in straight sets at No. 1 singles (6-2, 6-0), Sperry won in straight sets at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-2), and Turley won in straight sets at No. 5 singles (6-3, 6-3). USU also claimed the doubles point as Davis and Sperry posted an 8-2 win at the first position, while Guesnler and Turley notched an 8-0 win at the third position.

• Utah State's track & field teams will continue its 2014 outdoor season this weekend as it competes in the Utah Spring Invitational on Friday, April 11 and the Weber State Invitational on Saturday, April 12.

• Senior Xavier Williford Jr. placed second in the high jump with a leap of 2.06m (6-09.00) and senior Kaylee Hartshorn finished second in the javelin with a throw of 41.77m (137-00) as Utah State track & field garnered 12 top-five finishes over the weekend at the Stanford Invitational. The other second-place finish came from USU's men's 4x100m relay team, which crossed the finish line in 40.64. Junior Nic Bowens took third in the 200m with a time of 21.50 and also placed fourth in the 100m with a time of 10.47. Senior Silas Pimentel finished right behind Bowens in the 100m, finishing in fourth with a time of 10.57. Sophomore Kevin Allen grabbed fourth in the discus Invitational Division with a heave of 53.53m (175-07) and junior Cole Lambourne rounded out the top-five finishes for the Aggie men, taking fifth in the 400m (47.17). For the Aggie women, junior Chari Hawkins placed third in the long jump Invitational Division with a distance of 5.88m (19-03.50) and followed that up with fifth-place finish in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.73. Additionally, senior Sam Nielson took third in the triple jump with a leap of 11.83m (38-09.75) and junior Melanie Heslop finished third in the hammer throw with a toss of 55.13m (180-10).

6th, 191.875 --- at NCAA Regionals, Fayetteville, Ark.
• Utah State gymnastics (10-17) concluded its 2014 season with a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Regionals in Fayetteville, Ark., last weekend with a team score of 191.875 as it notched a 48.725 on vault, 46.300 on bars, 47.775 on beam and 49.075 on floor. Freshman Bailey McIntire finished in a three-way tie for fourth-place on floor with a 9.875. Additionally, she and junior Sarah Landes were part of a five-way tie for sixth on vault as they each notched a 9.800. Sophomore Michelle Yasukochi finished seventh on beam, notching a 9.775. And Landes, who was the sole all-around competitor for the Aggies, finished eighth with a 38.350.
