MEN'S TENNIS Utah State's men's tennis team will have the week off to prepare for the Big West Conference Championships in Ojai, Calif. on April 25-28. Seedings will take place this week and will be finalized after a conference call between Big West Coaches.

The Aggies finished the regular season with a 7-12 record, winning three out of the last five matches.

Sophomore Jason Trask finished the regular season with a team best 13-6 record. Also leading the Aggies was team captain Andreas Madersbacher who finished with a 10-9 record.

The top duo in doubles play for the Aggies was Madersbacher and Clayton Thomas, who finished with a 7-10 record in the spring season.

The Aggies were in action this past week, losing at home to Idaho State 4-3. The Aggies had beaten Idaho State twice earlier this season by scores of 4-1 and 5-2. Coach Christian Wright seemed to be happy with his team's performance and believed that maybe this loss will get his team focused.

"Maybe it was better that we lose this one with conference coming up," Wright said. "We have to have 100 percent focus from everybody to have a chance at conference....hopefully this will be a motivator."

WOMEN'S TENNIS Utah State's women's tennis team will host Idaho State Wednesday, April 17 in the final regular season match of the year. The match will begin at 2 p.m. at the Sports Academy.

Earlier this season the Aggies defeated Idaho State 4-3 on Jan. 23 in Pocatello, Idaho. Utah State's women's team came up short this weekend in Boise, Idaho, losing to Boise State (7-0), Idaho (5-2) and Denver (6-1). The Aggies dropped to 5-8 and have this week's match left to prepare them for the Big West Conference Championship at Ojai, Calif. on April 25-28.

Carolyn Larsen, Haley Hawkins, and Caroline Pollock all currently have individual records of 7-6 this season.

The top duo has been the freshman tandem of Larsen and Hawkins who have 5-7 record.
