April 30, 2012
LOGAN, Utah - Utah State University Athletics Department, in partnership with CBS College Sports, unveiled its redesigned website on Monday, April 30. UtahStateAggies.com is the home for Utah State's 16 varsity athletic programs and will continue to provide the Aggie teams and its 400-plus student-athletes with extensive coverage.
The new UtahStateAggies.com will offer fans a cleaner look, better organized menus and many upgraded internal pages in an effort to create a better viewing experience for fans, alumni, donors and media, along with its current and prospective student-athletes and coaches.
In addition, the redesign will allow fans to better navigate to some of the more exciting UtahStateAggies.com options, including live streaming, a variety of archived video content, photo galleries, blogs and a more prominent social media role. Another feature is an updated tab system that will allow users to access more information with fewer clicks.
Highlighting the many new features and upgrades on its redesigned website will be USU's new logos and wordmarks that were unveiled on April 28 as part of a department-wide brand and identity program spearheaded by Nike.
The site will also offer an enhanced scoreboard, easy to find upcoming events, rotating headlines and much more, including the continued convenience of purchasing season and individual game tickets via the website 24-hours a day.
The improved website will continue to provide all of the sports schedules and rosters, game previews and recaps, statistics, online interactive guides, player and coach bios and historical information on all Aggie sports as in the past, but has added several new features. Some of the highlights include:
New online store to purchase Aggie apparel.
New rotating promo banner below the top stories section.
New homepage tabs, including "TV Listings," "Daily Clippings" and "Blogs".
Updated "Schedule & Results" area on the homepage as well as the addition of a bottom line feature that will scroll upcoming events and results of past events.
Addition of a live Twitter and Facebook feed area on the homepage. The Twitter feed will include all USU Athletic Program tweets (football, men's basketball, women's basketball, volleyball, soccer, softball, gymnastics and Big Blue Scholarship Fund).
Updated navigational drop down menus.
Expanded the front page and sports page top headlines from four to six in the top rotation.
The live events tab provides quick links to GameTracker, various calendars and the audio/video schedule.
