Utah State's Jason Thomas Named Director of Football Operations at Wisconsin
Jason Thomas, who has worked in Utah State's Student-Athlete Academic Services for the past eight years, has been named Director of Football Operations at the University of Wisconsin.

LOGAN, Utah - Jason Thomas, who has worked in Utah State's Student-Athlete Academic Services for the past eight years, has been named Director of Football Operations at the University of Wisconsin.

Thomas, who was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director during the summer of 2013, held the position of Academic Advisor for USU's football team the past six seasons. Working in Academic Services, Thomas was responsible for initial and continuing student-athlete eligibility, served as study hall program coordinator and supervised the graduate intern program to develop young professionals. In addition to football, Thomas also spent time working with the women's basketball, men's and women's track and field and men's and women's tennis programs.

Utah State's football team ranked in a tie for fourth among FBS teams in the recently-released NCAA Academic Progress Rate with a score of 988.

Thomas, who graduated from Utah State in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in marketing and human resource management, also earned his master's degree from USU in corporate wellness. Thomas was a member of the USU football team from 2001-2004.

Thomas is a native of Moreno Valley, Calif. and is married to former Aggie track & field heptathlete Dayna Barrett. The couple have two children, Ezekiel (5) and Asher (1).
