LOGAN, Utah - Joel Moersch (pronounced More-sch) has been named an assistant athletics director for development/major gifts within the Utah State University Athletics Department it was announced Wednesday.
Moersch, who officially began his duties on Tuesday, May 29, will focus on major gifts and specific fundraising projects for Aggie Athletics.
"We are very pleased to have Joel join our major gift staff," said Kent Stanley, senior associate athletics director for development. "Through the interview process Joel rose to the top of a high caliber national pool of candidates. His experience in all aspects of athletic fundraising, along with his high energy level, will allow him to become a valued member of our staff."

"I am excited to be joining the Utah State family," said Moersch. "I look forward to getting out in the community and meeting Aggie alumni, donors, and fans. I would like to thank Scott Barnes, Kent Stanley, and the entire search committee for the opportunity to represent Utah State Athletics."
Prior to UCLA, Moersch spent nearly two years (2008-10) as an assistant athletics director for development at Eastern Illinois University where he oversaw the Panther Club Board of Directors and all annual fund activities.
Moersch began his career in collegiate athletics as the director of marketing and sports information for one year at his alma mater, Eastern Oregon University, before spending nearly two years (2007-08) as the marketing coordinator and executive assistant to the senior staff at Oregon State University.
