• Utah State’s outdoor track & field teams will conclude its season next week as four individuals will compete in the NCAA Finals, which will be held from Wednesday through Saturday, June 7-10, in Eugene, Ore.

Last Week
NTS --- at NCAA West Championships, Austin, Texas
• Utah State sent 18 student-athletes to the NCAA West Preliminary Championships last week at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas. A total of four Aggies qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Finals, which will be held June 7-10 at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Redshirt freshman Sindri Gudmundsson opened the West Prelims by capturing the top spot in the men’s javelin and punching his ticket to the NCAA Finals with a throw of 76.18 meters (249-11). Junior Clay Lambourne advanced to Eugene in the 800-meter run as he finished second in his heat and third overall with a personal-best time of 1:47.09, which ranks second all-time in school history. The recently graduated AJ Boully placed third in his heat and ninth overall with a time of 50.68 in the 400-meter hurdles to punch his ticket to Eugene. The final Aggie to qualify for a spot in the Outdoor Finals was sophomore Brenn Flint on the women’s side. She placed 12th in the first round of the women’s shot put with a personal-best mark of 15.96 meters (52-4.50).
