NTS --- at NCAA Finals., Eugene, Ore.
• Several members of Utah State’s track & field program competed at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Finals held last week at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Senior Parker Bluth, who competed in three events, placed 10th in the semifinals of the men’s 200-meter dash with a time of 20.70. By finishing in the top-16 of the event, the senior from Riverton, Utah, earned second-team All-American honors. Bluth also ran the first leg of the 4x400m relay team that crossed the finish line 12th with a time of 3:06.41 and earned second-team All-American honors. Other competing members of the relay team included sophomore Brady Martin, senior Cole Lambourne, junior AJ Boully and senior Tanner Hunt, who was an alternate. Bluth, who is believed to be the first Aggie to qualify for the Outdoor Finals in three events, also placed 21st in the 100m with a time of 10.44 to earn honorable mention All-American honors. Besides Bluth, three other USU student-athletes earned honorable mention All-American accolades as Boully placed 20th in the 400m hurdles (52.67), sophomore Clay Lambourne finished 22nd in the 800m (1:52.31) and fellow sophomore Dillon Maggard took 23rd in the 1,500m (3:52.80). On the women’s side, Maci Bingham placed 15th in the hammer throw with a mark of 60.44m (198-03) and concluded her stellar collegiate career by earning second-team All-American honors. She is the first Aggie women’s thrower to earn All-American honors since Krista Larson (hammer) in 2009.
