Five Utah State Student-Athletes Injured in Car Accident Friday Afternoon

June 26, 2015 LOGAN, Utah - Five Utah State student-athletes were injured in a car crash in Cache Valley Friday afternoon.

Current Utah State football players Adewale Adeoye (R-Fr., St. Louis, Mo.), Edmund Faimalo (R-Jr., Riverside, Calif.), John Taylor (Sr., Colton, Calif.) and Travis Seefeldt (Sr., Peoria, Ariz.) and former USU softball player Sarah Vasquez (Colton, Calif.) were all injured in the accident.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the student-athletes and their family members during this trying time and we are hopeful that all will make a speedy recovery," said USU Interim Athletics Director Jana Doggett.

"We will do everything we can to help all the student-athletes involved in today's car accident and will give them all the love and support they need," said USU head football coach Matt Wells. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved."

More information on the condition of all five of those involved in the accident will be sent out when available.
