LOGAN, Utah – Utah State athletics has announced changes to its event operations staff with DJ Eckman being named the Director of Event Operations and Facilities.

Eckman has been a member of the USU athletic department over the past six years, working four years as a student equipment manager and the last two years as the Event Operations Coordinator. Eckman earned both an undergraduate and graduate degree from Utah State, studying marketing, and sport and physical education.

“I’m excited to continue to be a part of the athletic department at Utah State and lead the event operations staff,” Eckman said. “Utah State is a great place to work and I look forward to associating with the great staff and coaches we have around us. Go Aggies!”

Eckman will direct the event operations department and is joined on the staff by Spencer and Ryan Funk. Both have worked with the event operations staff over the past two years. Spencer has been named the Event Operations Coordinator, while Ryan will serve as the Event Operations Student Assistant.
