Utah State Fills Two Athletic Marketing Positions

LOGAN, Utah - - Michelle Stoner Wilson and Kimberly Torman have been hired as USU's new director and assistant director of athletic marketing and promotions respectively, it was announced by associate athletics director Kevin Dustin.
Stoner Wilson served as the assistant marketing director at Utah for the past year after spending the two previous years as an athletic marketing assistant at Utah State. In addition she has worked with the Colorado Rockies where she assisted with game day and Mountain Ranch Club responsibilities.
As director, Wilson will oversee all marketing and promotions activities for Utah State's 15 varsity sports, as well as manage game-day activities, secure radio/television/newspaper advertising, and assist in fundraising and special events.
"We are excited that Michelle has agreed to accept the position," said Dustin. "She made an impact in our department as an assistant here and we knew she had the poise and expertise needed for the position. We look forward to having a long relationship with her."
Stoner Wilson is from Denver, Colo. and graduated from Utah State in 1999 with a BA in marketing.
Torman served as an athletic marketing intern for Utah State last year. She was in charge of all marketing and promotion responsibilities for USU's nationally ranked gymnastics team, as well as assisting with promotions and game-day responsibilities for Utah State's 14 other varsity sports.
As assistant marketing and promotions director Torman will be in charge of women's soccer and gymnastics, the Jr. Aggie Kids Club, and serve as the coordinator for the Aggie Ambassadors program.
"Kim was a major part of our department last year," said Dustin. "She was responsible for many of our events and everyone she worked with felt strongly of her abilities and capabilities. We are excited to have her as part of our staff."
Torman grew up in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Utah State last May with a degree in marketing.
