Dr. Tye Harrison Named Team Physician for USU Athletics

LOGAN, Utah - Dr. Tye Harrison has been named the head team physician for Utah State Athletics, coming to Logan by way of Auburn, where he was the associate team physician from 2014-16.

“My family and I are grateful and excited to be part of a program that has the values and commitment that Utah State University has to its students, athletes and community,” Dr. Harrison said.

Harrison, a native of Layton, Utah, earned his undergraduate degree in microbiology from Weber State in 2006, before completing his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Mo., in 2010. He then went on and worked with the Charleston Area Medicine Center in Charleston, W.Va., and residency at the Conroe Medical Foundation in Conroe, Texas, and later took on a sports medicine fellowship at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va.

Following his time at Virginia Tech, Harrison became the associate team physician at Auburn University, while also serving as the fellowship director of sports medicine and assistant professor of sports/family medicine at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. Harrison has also been the team physician for the United States Ski and Snowboarding teams since 2014.

In addition to his duties with Utah State, Dr. Harrison will also be working with sports medicine at Logan Regional Hospital within the Budge Clinic.

Harrison is married to the former Sarah Hill, and the couple has a daughter, Hayes Emory.
