LOGAN, Utah - Utah State Athletics’ Big Blue Classic Golf Tournament was a huge success, raising more than $20,000 for student-athlete scholarships.

The sold-out event hosted 104 golfers and took place on Sept. 28 at the Logan Golf & Country Club. Lunch was provided by Hy Olsen as teams geared up for the 1:30 p.m. shotgun start.

There were activities and games throughout the course ran by Aggie student-athletes representing the majority of Utah State’s 16 sponsored sports, as well as Big Blue and the spirit squad.

Golfers had an opportunity to take on USU Vice President and Athletics Director John Hartwell in a closest-to-the-hole contest.

After the tournament, dinner was provided by Off Premise Catering, followed by a raffle and live auction with remarks from Hartwell, head football coach Matt Wells and assistant vice president/deputy director of athletics for external affairs Coleman Barnes.
