Utah State Athletics is set for a busy weekend as it closes out the month of October with four home events and two on the road.
Utah State soccer will open the weekend of home action as it hosts Boise State at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30. With a win over the Broncos, the Aggies will clinch a spot in next week's Mountain West Tournament. Prior to the match, the team will honor its three seniors. Due to the football game that evening, parking for Friday's match will be limited. The parking lots at Chuck and Gloria Bell Field, as well as the Stan Laub Indoor Training Center, will both be $10 paid lots. Fans with football season parking passes will be allowed to park in these lots, while those who pay to park will be able to stay for the duration of the football game. Limited parking will be available on the street along 1400 North.
Friday evening's action will continue at Maverik Stadium, where the USU football team will host Wyoming at 8:15 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN2. Utah State Athletics will host the Maceys Fan Fest prior to the game. The Fan Fest begins at 5:30 p.m., and is located west of Maverik Stadium on 800 East. Mile Marker 6, presented by Edge Rock & Moto Clothing, will provide live music.
Saturday, Oct. 31 marks the beginning of the 2015-16 basketball season for both the men's and women's teams. The women open the day in exhibition action against South Dakota School of Mines and Technology at 2 p.m. The men's team also opens its exhibition season Saturday, when it hosts Oklahoma Panhandle State at 7 p.m.
Fans who attend the football game Friday night can bring their ticket stub to the basketball games on Saturday to receive discounted tickets. Ticket promotions include $1 tickets to the women's game and $10 admission to the men's. In between basketball games, Utah State student-athletes will host a trick-or-treating event on the Spectrum concourse at 6 p.m.
Two Aggie teams are also in action on the road this weekend. Utah State cross country is set to compete at the Mountain West Championships on Friday, beginning at 11 a.m. in Reno, Nev. Aggie volleyball plays at Fresno State on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Tickets to Utah State sporting events are available through the USU Athletics Ticket Office. Fans can get more information by calling (435) 797-0305 or at 1-888-U-STATE-1 (1-888-878-2831), or by visiting the Utah State Athletics website at www.UtahStateAggies.com.
