• Utah State (2-10, 2-6) concluded the 2007 season with a 24-19 win at Idaho on Saturday, Nov. 24. With the victory, USU won consecutive games for the first time since the 2003 season and back-to-back road games for the first time since the end of the 1999 season. Against the Vandals, senior quarterback Leon Jackson III led the Aggies as he was 11-of-15 passing for 118 yards, which included a four-yard touchdown toss to senior wide receiver Kevin Robinson. Jackson also carried the ball 14 times for 11 yards and had a pair of one-yard touchdown runs in the game. Redshirt freshman Derrvin Speight led USU's ground attack as he had 57 yards on 15 carries, while junior linebacker Jake Hutton had a game-high 16 tackles. As a team, Utah State recorded 272 yards of total offense (154 rushing, 118 passing) as compared to 428 yards of total offense for Idaho (237 rushing, 191 passing). Despite being out-gained by 156 yards, Utah State forced the Vandals into three turnovers on the day, while the Aggies had no turnovers.

• Utah State (4-4) will play just one game this week as it hosts Santa Clara (4-1) on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. USU is 3-3 all-time against the Broncos, which includes a 1-1 record in Logan. Last year, SCU defeated the Aggies at home in overtime, 77-75. Utah State recorded a 2-1 record last week with wins against Austin Peay (71-68) and Iowa (75-62) and a loss to Vanderbilt (77-56) as it finished in third-place in South Padre Island Invitational. Senior forward Stephen DuCharme led the Aggies during the two-day tournament as he averaged 20.0 points and 4.5 rebounds and was named to the all-tournament team. On the year, senior guard Jaycee Carroll is leading the team with 19.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game and shooting 49.0 percent from the field, 48.0 percent from three-point range and 94.1 percent from the free throw line, while DuCharme is averaging 13.6 points and 6.1 rebounds and shooting 63.9 percent from the field and 76.2 percent from the free throw line. As a team, USU is scoring 66.2 points per game and shooting 47.3 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from three-point range and 78.8 percent from the free throw line, while its opponents are scoring 68.1 points and shooting 44.5 percent from the field, 35.4 percent from three-point range and 73.2 percent from the free throw line.

• Utah State (0-4) will have two games this week as it plays at Idaho State (3-2) on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m., and at Eastern Washington (1-4) on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 3 p.m. (MT). USU is 13-9 all-time against the Bengals and 0-2 all-time against the Eagles. The Aggies are coming off an 89-74 home loss to Utah Valley Saturday night as senior guard Danyelle Snelgro scored a game-high 16 points. Overall, senior guard Taylor Richards is leading the team with 12.5 points per game, while Snelgro is averaging 12.0 points per contest. As a team, Utah State is scoring 63.5 points and shooting 36.5 percent from the field, 29.5 percent from three-point range and 78.4 percent from the free throw line, while its opponents are scoring 71.2 points and shooting 46.2 percent from the field, 45.5 percent from three-point range and 68.4 percent from the free throw line.
