LOGAN, Utah -
Utah State Assistant Vice President and Deputy Athletics Director for External Affairs Coleman Barnes has promoted Jessica Dickinson to Director of Development for Aggies Unlimited, the fundraising unit for Utah State Athletics.
“Jessica has embraced the vision to promote philanthropic giving to support and enhance the student-athlete experience,” Barnes said. “I am excited to have her as the Director of Development to implement strategies that will increase revenues from annual giving and special events, while establishing a stewardship platform that helps Aggies Unlimited donors better understand the impact of their investment in USU student-athletes.”
Dickinson will oversee all aspects of annual giving, stewardship, and special events. She was previously the Development Special Events Manager, overseeing all special events for USU Athletics since November of 2016.
“I appreciate the opportunity I have been given to expand my role with Aggies Unlimited,” Dickinson said. “I am looking forward to building our Aggies Unlimited brand in order to increase philanthropic giving for Utah State Athletics and our student-athletes.”
Prior to her arrival at Utah State, Dickinson was the Assistant Director of Development - Special Events at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) from 2014-16.
Dickinson was responsible for managing all aspects of special events for Blazer Boosters, including game day hospitality, Belles & Whistles, UAB Athletics Hall of Fame and the UAB Athletics Kickoff Event.
Additionally, Dickinson also oversaw the Blazer Boosters website, assisted with donor relations and supported the effort to grow annual Blazer Booster memberships.
Prior to UAB, Dickinson was an Account Executive of Client Services and Operations for Troy Sports Properties at Troy University, where she oversaw contract fulfillment for all Troy Athletics corporate partnerships.
Dickinson earned a master’s degree in sport management at Troy, serving as a graduate assistant for external affairs. While serving as a GA, Dickinson assisted with external operations for the athletics department, including special events, gift processing and game day hospitality.
A native of Little Rock, Ark., Dickinson, formerly Lynch, graduated from Ole Miss in 2012 with a degree in marketing communications. While at Ole Miss, she was a student intern for the Ole Miss recruiting department for three seasons.
Dickinson currently resides in Logan with her husband, Andrew.
