• Utah State (5-4) will play a pair of road games this week as it faces in-state rival Utah on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m., followed by a game at Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 8:30 p.m. (MT). The game at Utah will be televised live on The Mtn. (Comcast Ch. 37). USU is 91-127 all-time against the Utes, which includes a 32-77 road record. USU is also 2-0 all-time against the Roadrunners with both of those games being played in Logan. Last year, the Aggies defeated Utah, 60-57, and CS Bakersfield, 65-49, with both games being played in Logan. Utah State won its only game last week as it defeated Santa Clara, 71-65, in Logan as senior guard Jaycee Carroll scored a game-high 25 points, while senior forward Stephen DuCharme added 12 points and 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. USU also got 11 points from junior forward Gary Wilkinson, while junior guard Desmond Stephens and freshman forward Tai Wesley both added nine points. On the year, Carroll is leading the team with 20.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game and shooting 50.0 percent from the field, 49.1 percent from three-point range and 92.1 percent from the free throw line, while DuCharme is averaging 13.4 points and 6.6 rebounds and shooting 61.5 percent from the field and 72.7 percent from the free throw line. As a team, USU is scoring 66.8 points per game and shooting 47.3 percent from the field, 39.1 percent from three-point range and 77.5 percent from the free throw line, while its opponents are scoring 67.8 points and shooting 45.5 percent from the field, 36.3 percent from three-point range and 72.5 percent from the free throw line.

• Utah State (1-5) will take the week off before traveling to Flagstaff, Ariz., this weekend for a game against Northern Arizona on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 3 p.m. USU is 11-4 all-time against the Lumberjacks. Last weekend, Utah State recorded its first win of the season, 74-55, at Eastern Washington. Against the Eagles, senior forward Jamelah Brown scored a season-high 16 points and added six rebounds and two assists, while senior guard Taylor Richards scored 14 points and junior guard Danyelle Snelgro had 11 points. In the game, USU shot 56.8 percent from the field, 66.7 percent from three-point range and 94.1 percent from the free throw line, all season-highs. On the season, Richards is leading the team with 12.8 points per game, while Snelgro is averaging 12.0 points. As a team, Utah State is scoring 64.7 points and shooting 39.3 percent from the field, 36.4 percent from three-point range and 79.6 percent from the free throw line, while its opponents are scoring 68.2 points and shooting 43.0 percent from the field, 38.6 percent from three-point range and 72.3 percent from the free throw line.
