Sat., Dec. 12 --- UTAH VALLEY, 7 p.m.
• Utah State (4-3) will conclude its season-long five-game homestand this weekend as it hosts Utah Valley (3-4) on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. USU is 4-0 all-time against the Wolverines, which includes a 2-0 mark at home. The game will be televised live on CW30.

• Utah State went 1-1 at home last week as it defeated Brigham Young, 71-61, and lost to Saint Mary's, 68-63. Against the Cougars, senior guard Jared Quayle scored a game-high 22 points, to go along with five rebounds and four assists. Junior forward Nate Bendall notched his second double-double of the season as he had 14 points and a career-high tying 10 rebounds, while fellow junior forward Tai Wesley added 13 points and nine boards. Utah State shot 42.3 percent from the field (22-52), 30.8 percent from three-point range (4-13) and 82.1 percent at the free throw line (23-28). BYU shot 38.9 percent overall (21-54), including 33.3 percent from behind the arc (6-18) and 76.5 percent at the charity stripe (13-17). Against the Gaels, junior guard Pooh Williams had a team-high 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting, while Quayle added 13 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals. Wesley and Bendall also scored in double-figures for the Aggies as Wesley had 12 points and eight boards, and Bendall posted 11 points and five boards. The Aggies finished the game shooting 25-of-63 (.397) from the field, 3-of-12 (.250) from three-point range and 10-of-15 (.667) from the free throw line. The Gaels shot 26-of-61 overall (.426), made 9-of-22 three-pointers (.409) and was 7-of-13 (.538) from the free throw line.

• Utah State (3-3) will play just one game this week as it travels to Pocatello on Saturday, Dec. 12 to face Idaho State (2-7) at 7 p.m. USU is 13-12 all-time against the Bengals, which includes a 56-53 loss in Tempe last weekend.

• Utah State went 0-2 last weekend at the Arizona State Classic as it lost to Pepperdine, 67-46, and Idaho State, 56-53. Against the Waves, junior forward Amber White scored a team-high 14 points, while senior center Lydia Whitehead had 10 rebounds and two blocks, to go along with four points. For the game, USU shot a season-low 29.1 percent from the field (16-55) and 23.1 percent from three (3-13). The Aggies ended the game shooting 55.0 percent from the free throw line (11-20). Pepperdine shot 44.1 percent for the game (26-59) and a solid 55.0 percent from beyond the arc (11-20). The Waves only shot 40 percent from the free throw line (4-10). Against the Bengals, junior guard Alice Coddington scored 14 points to go along with five rebounds, four assists and a career-high eight steals. Fellow junior guard LaCale Pringle-Buchanan scored a season-high 14 points, and freshman guard Trisha Jo Goddard added 13 points. For the game, USU shot 34.4 percent from the field (21-61) and 31.6 percent from three (6-19). USU also shot 71.4 percent from the free throw line (5-7). Idaho State shot 40.4 percent from the field (21-52) and 43.8 percent from three (7-16). The Bengals shot 70 percent from the charity stripe (7-10).
