• Utah State (9-5) will continue its five-game homestand as it hosts Oral Roberts (7-4) on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 7:05 p.m. in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. Utah State is 5-1 all-time against the Golden Eagles and has won each of the last four games played in the series. Last week, Utah State improved to 26-0 all-time in the Gossner Classic as it defeated Utah Valley (87-65) and Northern Arizona (78-62) to win the tournament championship. During the two-day event, USU was led by senior All-American guard Jaycee Carroll who set a new Gossner Classic record with 65 points as he scored a season-high 32 points against the Wolverines and then had a season-high 33 points against the Lumberjacks twenty-four hours later. During the tournament, Carroll averaged 32.5 points and 5.5 rebounds, while shooting an unbelievable 74.2 percent from the field and 69.2 percent from three-point range. He was also a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line. Offensively, the Aggies played well both nights as they shot 60.0 percent (33-55) against Utah Valley and then shot 57.1 percent (28-49) against Northern Arizona. On the year, Utah State is led by Carroll who is averaging 21.8 points and 5.9 rebounds and shooting 53.6 percent from the field, 51.6 percent from three-point range and 94.5 percent from the free throw line. Two other players are scoring in double-figures for the Aggies as junior forward Gary Wilkinson is averaging 11.6 points and 5.2 rebounds and senior forward Stephen DuCharme is averaging 11.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. As a team, USU is scoring 69.9 points and shooting 48.6 percent from the field, 39.3 percent from three-point range and 79.8 percent from the free throw line, while its opponents are scoring 66.1 points and shooting 44.5 percent from the field, 36.4 percent from three-point range and 70.5 percent from the free throw line.

• Utah State (3-7) will conclude its three-game homestand on Saturday, Dec. 29 as it hosts in-state rival Brigham Young (5-6) at 5 p.m. in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum prior to USU's men's team playing Oral Roberts at 7 p.m. USU is 3-24 all-time against Brigham Young and this will be the first meeting between the two teams since the 1986-87 season. Last week, Utah State recorded a 1-1 record as it lost to Montana State (71-49) and defeated Saint Mary's (81-60). Against the Bobcats, senior forward Jamelah Brown had a team-high 12 points to go along with nine rebounds, while junior forward Lindsey Shipley scored a career-high 19 points against the Gaels. As a team, USU shot just 33.3 percent (19-57) against Montana State, including 25.0 percent (4-16) from three-point range. Against Saint Mary's, Utah State shot 44.9 percent from the field (31-69) and was 5-of-11 (.455) from behind the arc. On the season, junior guard Danyelle Snelgro is leading the team with 12.1 points per game, while senior guard Taylor Richards is averaging 10.1 points. Overall, Utah State is scoring 62.1 points and shooting 38.7 percent from the field, 36.3 percent from three-point range and 71.7 percent from the free throw line, while its opponents are scoring 66.1 points and shooting 44.1 percent from the field, 37.3 percent from three-point range and 70.6 percent from the free throw line.
