The six inductees include: Candy Cashell, USU's first female track All-American; Jim Laub, a life-long contributor of Aggie Athletics; Jimmy Moore, one of the best Aggie basketball players ever; Corey Murdock, one of just two track athletes in school history to earn All-American honors at least four times; Roy Shivers, an All-American running back; and Jim Turner, an outstanding quarterback and kicker.
The dinner and induction ceremony for the Hall of Fame's 10th class is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at the Riverwoods Conference Center in Logan.
Jana Doggett is entering her 10th year with the Utah State Athletics Department and fifth as Executive Associate Athletics Director after spending her first five years as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Operations. Doggett also serves as the department’s Senior Woman Administrator.
Doggett, who was named one of the top 10 SWA’s in the nation at the Division I level by College AD in 2015, served as Utah State’s Interim AD during the summer of 2015.
With her current position, Doggett is the athletic department’s second-in-command and oversees the department’s external operations, which includes event management, media relations, new media, Aggie Sports Properties, licensing and Sodexo concession sales. She also supervises the sports of football, men and women’s basketball and volleyball.
Doggett has also been the athletics department lead liaison with the construction of the Wayne Estes Center, USU’s Olympic Sports Complex and the current renovations to the west side of Maverik Stadium.
Prior to her current position, Doggett spent 11 years in the athletics department at San Diego State, from 1993-2003, including six years as an Associate Director of Athletics. She also worked at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society San Diego Area Chapter.
At San Diego State, she supervised all 18 of the athletic department’s head coaches as well as the ticket office, marketing and promotions, financial aid, academics, compliance, event management, video production, weight and equipment rooms, sports medicine and business services.
Doggett graduated with a degree in speech communication from San Diego State. She was raised in Nezperce, Idaho before moving to Visalia, Calif., for junior high and high school.
Doggett married current USU assistant men’s basketball coach Tarvish Felton on May 28, 2011 and the couple has a 16-year old daughter, DeAubrey Ann Bowers and a 1-year old son, Deekan G. Felton.
