The 2013 class includes former football players Roy Shivers (1964-65) and Jim Turner (1959-62); track athletes Candy Cashell (1982-84) and Corey Murdock (1994, 1997-99), basketball player Jimmy Moore (1972-75); and contributor Jim Laub.
The six inductees include: Candy Cashell, USU's first female track All-American; Jim Laub, a life-long contributor of Aggie Athletics; Jimmy Moore, one of the best Aggie basketball players ever; Corey Murdock, one of just two track athletes in school history to earn All-American honors at least four times; Roy Shivers, an All-American running back; and Jim Turner, an outstanding quarterback and kicker.
The 2012 class includes former wrestler Alfred Castro (1984-87); football players Eric Hipple (1976-79), James Murphy (1978-80) and Emmett White (1998-2001); basketball player Brian Jackson (1978-81); track athletes Shae Bair (1998-2000, 2002) and James Parker (1995, 1999-2001); and softball player Kristie Skoglund (1984-87).
The dinner and induction ceremony for the Hall of Fame's 10th class is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at the Riverwoods Conference Center in Logan.
Lindley played football and basketball at Utah State in the early 1950s.
Prior to joining the athletic department, Kragthorpe worked in the USU Alumni Office for more than a decade.
Kragthorpe was a two-time all-conference selection as a football lineman at Utah State in 1953 and 1954 and was named to the school's all-century team in 1993. After graduation he played one year with the New York Giants.
Kragthorpe was an assistant football coach at Idaho Falls (Idaho) High School and head coach at Roosevelt (Mich.) High School. He then was an assistant at the college level at Montana, South Dakota State and Brigham Young, while also serving as head coach at South Dakota State and Idaho State.
While at Idaho State, he coached the Bengals to the NCAA I-AA national championship in 1981. He then served as the athletics director at USU from 1983-84 before returning to the collegiate coaching ranks at Oregon State and earning PAC-10 Coach of the Year honors.
In 2005 he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Utah State and in 2009 he was inducted into the Utah State Athletic Hall of Fame with six other members.
He and his wife Barbara have two grown children in Kurt, who is a sports writer for the Salt Lake Tribune and Steve, who is the head football coach at the University of Louisville.
