The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is composed of one or more student-athletes representing each intercollegiate team sponsored at USU. The mission of SAAC is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare, and fostering a positive student-athlete image.
Officers consist of a president, vice president, and secretary. In addition the SAAC officers represent USU athletes at Western Athletic Conference SAAC meetings. The USU SAAC is a pro-active council that meets every other Wednesday at 8:00 pm in the Jim and Carol Laub Athletics-Academics Complex. SAAC is directed by Amber Rae Childers, an Academic/Life Skills Coordinator within Student-Athlete Services.
