The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is designed for team leaders to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The committee also offers input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives.
SAAC on the Utah State Campus
SAAC is a very important part of Utah State's Athletic Department because it provides a voice for the student-athletes. The membership is comprised of representatives from each sport who serve as the governing body of Utah State student-athletes. SAAC meets bi-weekly and provide many opportunities for student-athletes, including the following:
- Communication with staff and student leaders from Utah State's campus and the Athletics Department
- NCAA and WAC legislation voting
- Discussion of issues surrounding the student-athlete
- Involvement in community outreach
- Planning USTARS, an event to recognize the athletic achievements and non-athletic talents of Utah State student-athletes (Evening of Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in TSC Ballroom)
- Leadership experience
