HIGH SCHOOL: Was a five-time letterwinner at Magdalena (N.M.) High School as a sprinter and jumper on the track & field team… As a senior, won multiple high point male awards, including one at the state meet… Was the long jump state champion as a senior while placing second in the triple jump… Also won the 200m, 110m hurdles and the 400m state titles as a senior… Also won the long jump at state in 2014, while coming in as the runner-up in the 400m… Led the Steers to a state title in 2015 as a senior… Also competed in football and basketball… Was an all-state cornerback while guiding the team to a 10-1 record as a senior… Led his basketball team to a perfect 21-0 season and a state championship as a senior… Graduated first in his class as valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA and was on the National Honor Society… Awarded a Dean’s Scholarship at Utah State.

PERSONAL: Son of Kelby and Amy Stephens… Has eight siblings… Served a two-year LDS Church mission in Cleveland, Ohio… Majoring in mechanical engineering… First name is pronounced bear-uck
