AUSTIN, Texas. – Utah State’s men’s track & field team concluded the weekend by winning the 4x400m relay on Saturday, April 1, at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, presented by Spectrum.

The quartet of freshman Michael Bluth, junior Brady Martin and seniors AJ Boully and Joshua Gordon recorded a season-best 4x400m relay time of 3:06.72 to secure the victory.

“I think that they ran about as well as they could today,” said USU veteran head coach Gregg Gensel. “It was windy and they maybe wanted a better time, but they ran a 3:06.72 and that’s a pretty fast time.  It was awesome and they did a great job of taking care of business.

Overall, Utah State ended the relays with a victory in both the 400m hurdles and the 4x400m relay.

Utah State track & field returns to action next Friday and Saturday at the UCLA-hosted Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee invitational and also at the Utah-hosted Spring Classic.

The Mountain West Outdoor Championships will be held in Logan, Utah on May 10-13, just 12 days before the First Round of the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas, on May 25-27.
