Track Heads To Air Force Invitational This Weekend

LOGAN, Utah - Fourteen teams, along with the USU Aggies will converge on Colorado Springs, Colo. Friday and Saturday, to compete in the men's and women's indoor track Air Force Invitational. The team's include BYU, Colorado, Colorado State, New Mexico, Wichita State, Wyoming, Adams State, CU-Colorado Springs, Colorado School of Mines, Northern Colorado and Western State.
With five first-place finishes at the Snake River Open last Saturday, coach Greg Gensel and the team are expecting more success this Friday and Saturday.
Kelli Burton showed she will be a strength on the women's team this year, winning the shot put with a distance of 49-01.00.
USU returns to Logan next week to host the Wilson Motor Invitational on Sat., Jan. 31. The Invitational is held in the Nelson Fieldhouse and is an all day event.
