Utah State Track And Field To Compete At Washington State's Cougar Indoor And Multi's Friday And Saturday

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men and women's track and field teams are set to compete at Washington State's Cougar Indoor and Multi's meet in Pullman, Wash., on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 27-28.
The Aggie women rank at No. 65 in the nation according to the most recent ranking by the United State Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
USU will compete with athletes from UCLA, Montana, Idaho and host Washington State. Action begins on Friday with the women's pentathlon at 3:30 p.m. (MT) and is set to conclude with the men's long jump at 8 p.m. Saturday's action will kick off at 10 a.m. with the final three events of the men's heptathlon and will end with the women's 4x400m relay at 4:20 p.m. All times subject to change.
Last week, Utah State's Kylie Hirschi and Spela Hus swept the women's Western Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors. Overall, the Aggies won four event titles as part of 27 top ten finishes at New Mexico's Cherry and Silver Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. on Jan. 20-21.
The WAC Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors were not awarded this week, as the Utah State men were the only team in the conference to participate last week.
Action continues for the Aggie track and field teams as they will compete at Boise State's Bronco Classic on Feb. 4 in Nampa, Idaho at the same Jackson Indoor Track that will also host the WAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 23-25 and the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 8-11.
