LOGAN, Utah - Utah State track & field will send four seniors to the 2018 NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships, held Friday and Saturday, March 9-10, in College Station, Texas, and hosted by Texas A&M.

Dillon Maggard, Clay Lambourne, Brady Martin and Jordan Beutler will all compete for the Aggies at the championship meet.

Utah State's distance medley relay team, comprised of the four seniors, is currently ranked second in the nation behind Mountain West rival New Mexico. The foursome shattered the previous school record for the DMR at the MW Indoor Championships, finishing in a time of 9:34.61, nearly nine seconds ahead of the old standard. After an altitude adjustment, which is used to determine championship seeding, the time is the second-fastest in NCAA history.

Maggard, a two-time indoor All-American in the mile, will also compete individually in the 3,000-meter race this season. Maggard set the school record in that distance earlier this year, running it in 7:52.99, becoming the only Aggie to run it in under eight minutes in school history. He is currently ranked 15th in the nation in the event.

Lambourne is scheduled to run in the 800m championships, as well. The senior won his fourth consecutive MW indoor championship in the event with a meet-record time of 1:48.74. Lambourne is the school-record holder in the event, and is seeded 14th in the race.

This marks the fifth consecutive year that the Aggies will be represented at the NCAA Indoor National Championships

The men's 800m semifinals will begin at 6:15 p.m. (MT) on March 9, while the DMR will start at 7:45 p.m. (MT), on the same day. The 3,000m finals are scheduled for 5:10 p.m. (MT) on March 10.

The event will be live streamed by ESPN3, and links to live results will be available on UtahStateAggies.com prior to the event.

Participants in the NCAA Indoor National Championships are determined by national ranking, with the top 16 individuals and top 12 relay teams invited to the event.
