Page Collects WAC Track Athlete Of The Week Honor

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's track & field middle distance runner Briton Page was tabbed the Western Athletic Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the week of March 25-31, it was announced by the league office Wednesday.
This is the second career WAC Athlete of the Week honor for Page, as he also won the award on Jan. 23. Page was also named the America First Credit Union USU Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, March. 31, in an award voted on by a state-wide media panel.
Page, a freshman from Centerville, Utah (Viewmont HS), ran the fourth-fastest time in school history in the men's 800m (1:49.64) as he placed third at the Stanford Invitational this past weekend. Page ranks eighth in the nation for the men's 800m, along with ranking fifth on the West qualifying list for the season. The time is also the fastest for the event in the WAC this season.
Action continues for Utah State track & field as they travel to Boise, Idaho for the All-Idaho Cup on Friday and Saturday, April 5-6.
