"The Stanford Invitational gives our athletes a chance to run and compete with great quality competition like Stanford always provides," said USU veteran head coach Gregg Gensel. "The New Mexico Invite is also a good meet that is growing and it is gives us good chance to have our athletes improve. It is only our second year going to their outdoor meet but we are excited about the quality of competition there."

Due to the time difference and late event start times, all results from the Stanford Invitational on Friday will be included with Saturday's release. Friday's men and women's hammer results from the Don Kirby Invitational will also be included in Saturday's release.

The Aggie women rank sixth in the Mountain Region while the men sit at No. 7 according to the most recent rankings released by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Additionally, USU has three athletes rank in the top 25 in the nation of their respective events including Howell with the 17th-best time in the 3,000m steeplechase (9:04.37).
