2007 WAC Freshman of the Year
Quickly:
An athletic player who had a tremendous freshman season... Is still growing as a setter and will continue to develop her leadership skills as she continues her collegiate career... One of 12 players, including one of just two freshmen, named to the Western Athletic Conference's preseason team in 2008... Attended the same high school as current teammate Emily Kortsen.
2007 Season (Fr.):
Named the WAC Freshman of the Year as she averaged 12.45 assists per game to rank second in the league... Is just the third player in school history to earn conference player of the year honors along with Denae Mohlman (1997) and Zuzana Cernianska (2002)... Also ranked second in assists in league only matches with 12.96 assists per game... Recorded 1,133 assists which ranks ninth all-time at Utah State for a single-season and is 10th all-time in school history... Finished the year with 140 digs, 54 blocks, 23 service aces and 13 kills... Recorded a season-high 65 assists at home against Nevada in four games... Posted 60-plus assists in four matches during the season... Also notched double-digits in digs three times during the year including a season-high 12 at home against Fresno State... Finished the year averaging 1.54 digs, 0.59 blocks, 0.25 service aces, 0.14 kills and 0.70 points per game.
High School/Club:
Earned first-team all-league honors as both a junior and senior and was named her league's Most Valuable Player in 2006 as San Benito High School won the league championship and finished third in the state tournament... As a prep senior she recorded 998 assists, 291 digs, 232 kills, 112 service aces and 46 blocks... During her junior season, San Benito placed third in the Northern California Tournament... Also played for the Main Beach Volleyball Club team that participated in the Junior Olympics four times, including a fifth-place finish in 2006 in Atlanta... A scholar-athlete.

Born July 25, 1989 in Gilroy, Calif... The youngest of five children of Curtis and Debbie Fowles... Enjoys cooking, watching movies and hanging out with friends... Undeclared on a college major.
