ALL-BIG WEST CANDIDATE (2001) SECOND-TEAM ALL-BIG WEST (2000) USU THIS SEASON: One of the best setters and all-around players in the Big West Conference... a left-handed setter with great athleticism... gets off the ground very well... a dynamic attacker and solid blocker for her size. 2000 (JR.): Named second-team all-Big West as a junior... started every match for Utah State as a setter in her first year at the division one level... finished second on the team with a .344 hitting percentage and played in all but one game for USU during the season... set a new single-season record for assists with 1,441... ranks sixth all-time at USU with those 1,441 assists... also set new single-match records during the season with 58 assists in a three-game match and 68 assists in a four-game match... named the Big West Conference Player of the Week on Oct. 16 after leading the Aggies to a pair of home wins over nationally ranked Utah and conference foe Boise State... was third on the team with 271 digs and had 10 or more digs in 11 matches on the season... finished fourth on the team in total blocks with 85... was third in the Big West Conference with 12.64 assists per game... had a season-high 11 kills at Idaho State and notched a season-high 24 digs at Cal Poly... hit .412 during the conference season to lead the team... named to the Holiday Inn Classic all-Tournament team in Bozeman, Mont. PREVIOUS SCHOOL: A junior college first-team All-American at Sheridan Junior College in Sheridan, Wyo... also named all-region and all-conference both years... set a new school record for assists... had 1,450 assists as a sophomore to go along with a .310 hitting percentage and 110 total blocks... her team finished seventh in the country with a 32-9 record... also an academic all-conference and all-region selection her sophomore season. HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Named the Northwest 1A volleyball player of the year as a senior, along with being named all-conference and all-state... received academic all-conference honors as well... named salutatorian at Burlington High School.
