Final Stats

IRVINE, Calif. - Utah State's women's volleyball team dropped a four-game match to UC Irvine here Saturday night by final scores of 16-30, 26-30, 30-26 and 23-30 to fall to 3-9 on the season and 0-5 in the Big West Conference. The Anteaters improved to 10-4 overall and 4-2 in league play with the win.

Irvine started the match off hot hitting .519 in the first match. After dropping the first two games the Aggies were able to come back and win the third game by holding the Anteaters to .195 before losing the fourth game.

Individually for Utah State, freshman Amanda Orgill once again led the Aggies with 12 kills in the match. Sophomore Kelsi Thoman also continued her good weekend as she once again paced USU's defense with 23 digs.

As a team, Utah State hit .094 in the match with 53 kills, while Irvine hit .293 with 61 kills. Irvine also won the battle at the net with 13 team blocks as compared to 8.0 for the Aggies.

Utah State returns to action on Thur., Oct. 7 as the Aggies host UC Santa Barbara.
