RENO, Nev. - Utah State's women's volleyball team lost a four-game match at the University of Nevada in Western Athletic Conference volleyball here Saturday night by final scores of 22-30, 30-24, 26-30, and 26-30.
Utah State falls to 13-8 overall and 5-2 in league play with the loss, while Nevada, who has won 11 of its last 12 matches, improves to 12-6 overall and 7-1 in league play with the win.
Beth Hodge led USU with 18 kills and hit .333 in the match, while Ingrid Roth hit a team-high .421 with 10 kills, to go along with five blocks. Zuzana Cernianska also notched double-digits in kills for the Aggies with 16, but hit just .136 in the contest.
Nevada was led by Teal Ericson who had a match-high 24 kills, while Carly Sorensen added 17 kills.
Overall, Nevada recorded 11 more kills (73-62) and five fewer hitting errors (33-28) in the contest, while both teams recorded 51 digs.
Utah State will return to action on Thur., Oct. 20 as it travels to 11th-ranked Hawai'i.
