LOGAN, Utah - Sophomore outside hitter Liz McArthur had 21 kills and eight digs to lead Utah State to a four-set win (24-26, 26-24, 25-16, 25-19) against Nevada here Thursday night. USU ends its season with a 15-14 record, including a 6-10 mark in the Western Athletic Conference following the win. Nevada falls to 11-19 overall and 7-9 in league play with the loss.

Junior setter Chelsea Fowles had five kills, seven digs and three service aces for Utah State, and hit .833 (5-0-6) in the match, while junior middle blocker Shanell Durrant added eight kills and hit .583 (8-1-12). Junior middle blocker Katie Astle also played well for USU as she had nine kills and seven block assists, while sophomore opposite side hitter Emily Kortsen also had nine kills to go along with five block assists.

Kylie Harrington had 16 kills to lead Nevada and Elissa Ji added 12 kills.

Utah State held a 20-18 advantage in the first set, but Nevada rallied to tie it at 24 and then scored the final two points to notch the win. UN hit .333 (19-5-42) in the first set and USU hit .314 (15-4-35). In the second set, Utah State was the team to score the final two points to even the match at one set apiece as it hit .250 (14-6-32) and UN hit .194 (15-9-31).

Utah State carried its momentum into the third-set as it coasted to the nine-point win. The Aggies hit .303 (14-4-33) in the third set while the Wolf Pack hit .182 (11-5-33). In the fourth and final set, Utah State hit .393 (14-3-28) and held Nevada to a .069 (10-8-29) hitting percentage.

Utah State finished the match with a .312 (57-17-128) hitting percentage and Nevada hit .207 (55-27-135). USU also had four more service aces (9-5), 2.5 more team blocks (10.5-8.0) and two more digs (45-43) in the match, while UN had two fewer service errors (7-5).
