Aggie Volleyball Continues Its Support Of Breast Cancer Research

Jan. 24, 2007

LOGAN, Utah - Once again, Utah State's women's volleyball team continued its support of breast cancer research during the 2006 season by raising $636 through its `Dig 4 A Cure' program.

During the 2006 season, Utah State received pledges for every dig it recorded during its 10-match home season and then donated those proceeds to the American Cancer Society to help find a cure for breast cancer. The `Dig 4 A Cure' program was implemented to coincide with the month of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month.

"I would like to thank all those who participated in this program to increase awareness of women's health issues," said USU head coach Grayson DuBose. "Your supports means a lot to our student-athletes."

Utah State will participate in the `Dig 4 A Cure' program once again during the 2007 season, and anyone interested in making a donation can contact the USU Volleyball Office at (435) 797-2063.
