ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Utah State had four Aggies earn all-Mountain West honors at the annual Mountain West Championships, held Friday at the UNM North Golf Course. The men's team placed fourth overall, while the women took third.

Senior Dillon Maggard recorded the best finish for an Aggie at the meet as he placed third overall in the men's 8-kilometer race, finishing in 23:54.45. His third-place finish, good for first-team all-MW honors, is the highest for USU since it joined the MW, topping his fourth-place finish last year.

On the women's side, junior transfer Alyssa Snyder picked up first-team all-MW honors with a sixth-place finish, completing the 6-kilometer run in 20:55.40. Joining Snyder with all-conference honors, senior Tylee Skinner and junior Kashley Carter each earned second-team all-MW accolades as they finished in 10th and 13th place with times of 21:19.67 and 21:22.02, respectively.

For Carter, it is her third cross country all-conference honor, having been on the first team last year and the second team as a freshman. For Skinner, it is her first-career cross country all-conference honor.

Overall, the four all-conference honors are the most for Utah State in a single season since joining the Mountain West.

Colorado State claimed the men's team title with 31 points, while Utah State placed fourth with 93 points. On the women's side, New Mexico won its 10th-straight conference title with 22 points, ahead of USU's 73 points to place third. It is the highest finish for the women in Mountain West competition, while the men tied their highest finish, also set last season.

Also finishing well for the men's team, sophomore James Withers just missed out on all-conference honors as he finished 16th with a time of 24:33.41. Joining Withers in the top-25, fellow sophomores J.D. Thorne and Luke Beattie took 23rd and 24th in times of 24:44.48 and 24:44.86, respectively.

For the women, senior Tori Parkinson claimed 18th with a time of 21:31.89, while junior Tavia Dutson recorded a time of 21:51.05 to take 27th.

The Aggies are back in action in two weeks when they host the NCAA Mountain Region Championships on Friday, Nov. 10. The race is scheduled to begin at 10:15 a.m. at the Steve and Dona Reeder Cross Country Course.
