LOGAN, Utah - For the third time this year Utah State's Trever Ball has been named the Xbox Live Western Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week. Ball also claimed honors on Sept. 6 and Sept. 19.

Ball, a senior from Hyrum, Utah, finished 16th at the prestigious Notre Dame Invitational last Friday. He covered the five-mile course in 24:07 to pace the Aggies, who finished 11th as a team.

Ball has been USU's top finisher in all three events this year, placing second in the season opening American Western Heritage Center Open and then winning the Montana State Invitational.

Idaho's Dee Olson was the women's runner of the week. Utah State nominated Tiffany Strickland, who had finished 19th at the Notre Dame meet.

The Aggies will compete at the NCAA Pre-Nationals on Oct. 15 before participating in the WAC Championships in Boise, Idaho on Oct. 29.
