LOGAN, Utah- The USU men's cross country team is ranked seventh in the Mountain Region in a poll announced Oct. 18.

The Aggies jumped from ninth place, where they have been all season, after the team finished 14th at the NCAA Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Ind. on Oct. 18. Trevor Ball, who was also named Big West Conference Cross Country Athlete of the Week, led the Aggies with a 22nd-place with a time of 24:27, 33 seconds off of first place.

The Aggies passed Montana State and in-state rival Weber State in this week's poll. The last time the team was ranked seventh was Nov. 17 2003.

The poll released by the United States Cross Country Coaches Association is released weekly. This week's poll is the seventh of the season.

The Aggies next meet is the Big West Championships in Riverside, Calif. on Saturday Oct. 30.
