THIS SEASON: One of four returning starters for USU... Made drastic improvements in his game from his sophomore to junior seasons... His low-post moves continue to improve, and he will become better with more playing time... Has a soft touch around the basket.

2000 (JR.): Averaged 8.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in his first significant time at the Division I level... In the Big West Tournament he averaged 9.0 points and had 10 blocks in the three games... Against New Mexico State in the tournament championship game he played a season-high 32 minutes and had 15 points, one shy of his career high (16 at Long Beach State against Big West Player of the Year Mate Milisa this season) and added a career-high five blocks... Also added six rebounds and made all five of his free throw attempts... Started the season strong averaging 11.3 points and 6.0 rebounds, while shooting 76.5 percent (13-of-17) in the first three games before injuring his foot and missing two games... Two of his best games statistically this year included a 16-point, 11-rebound game against Long Beach State (and Mate Milisa) for career highs in both categories and a 15-point, 11-rebound game against North Texas... His 46 blocks are tied for the fourth most in USU single-season history... Scored in double figures on 11 different occasions and notched three double-doubles on the year... Made his only three-point attempt on the season at Boise State.

1999 (SO.): Played in 25-of-28 games in his first season at USU, starting two... Averaged 2.5 points and 1.9 rebounds in 8.3 minutes of action per contest... Best scoring game was a nine-point outing against North Texas... Had a season-best seven rebounds against UC Irvine... Shot 53.8 percent from the field, the fourth-best percentage on the team... Blocked nine shots to tie for second on the team.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played the 1997-98 season at Lassen Junior College where he averaged 15 points, eight rebounds and three blocks per game.

OTHER BASKETBALL: Played in Belgium and was a member of the same team as former Utah State standout Eric Franson.

PERSONAL: Born Feb. 28, 1979 in Belgium... Majoring in languages and would like to return to Europe after graduation... Son of Valere and Jeannine Jorssen... Signed in the fall of 1997.
