This Season:
Is expected to have a very productive senior year.... Understands the system and what he needs to do to get big minutes... Has been a streaky shooter, but has the ability to become a consistent shooter... Needs to become an aggressive defensive player who is also active on the boards... Is left-handed.
2007 Season (Jr.):
Played in all 35 games during his junior year and averaged 3.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game... Shot 36.5 percent from the field, 31.2 percent from three-point range and 71.4 percent from the free throw line... Averaged 17.4 minutes per game off the bench and played a career-high 32 minutes against New Mexico State on Feb. 5... Finished the year fourth on the team with eight blocks and sixth with 25 steals... Also took seven charges during the season to rank third on the team... Scored in double-figures twice during the season as he had 12 points in the season-opener at Northwestern State on Nov. 10 and scored a career-high 15 points at home against Idaho on Jan. 15... Was five-of-seven from the field and four-of-six from three-point range against the Vandals.
2006 Season (So.):
Played in 21 games in his first season at Utah State... Started his only game of the year against Idaho on Jan. 14... Scored a season-high seven points against Binghamton in the championship game of the 2005 Gossner Foods Holiday Classic... Played a season-high 18 minutes at Oral Roberts in the first game of the year and at Idaho on Feb. 15... Had his best statistical game against Boise State on Jan. 12 as he scored six points and added a season-high four rebounds, to go along with one assist and one steal in 15 minutes... Was two-of-three from the field and two-of-two from three-point range against the Broncos... Finished the season by averaging 1.0 points and 1.3 rebounds in 7.6 minutes per game off the bench... Shot just 14.3 percent from the field (5-35) and 16.7 percent from three-point range (4-24), but did make 77.8 percent of his free throws (7-9).
Junior College:
Averaged 11.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game as a freshman at Dixie State College in St. George, Utah during the 2002-03 season... Shot 45.1 percent from the field, 40.2 percent from three-point range and 67.9 percent from the free throw line as he helped led the Rebels to a 30-6 record and a third-place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament.
High School:
Earned 3A Player of the Year honors by both the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune as a senior at Snow Canyon High School in St. George, Utah in 2002 after leading his team to the state championship... As a prep senior he averaged nearly 24 points, eight rebounds and five steals per game... Scored a career-high 40 points twice during high school... His career-high in rebounds was 23... Earned three varsity letters on the golf team.

Full name is Nicholas Craig Hammer... Born May 27, 1984 in Salt Lake City, Utah... One of four children of Craig and Marcia Hammer... His dad played basketball at the University of Utah in 1981 and 1982... Majoring in finance at Utah State... Enjoys golfing and ping pong... Returned from a two-year LDS Church Mission in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in May, 2005.
