2015-16 SEASON (JR): One of two players to appear and start in every game for the Aggies (Chris Smith)... 2014-15 SEASON (SO): Appeared in each of Utah State's 31 games, starting in 30... Named second-team all-Mountain West... Named to the 2014 World Vision Classic all-tournament team... Led the team in both scoring a rebounding during the year, averaging 15.2 points (6th in the MW) and 6.7 rebounds (7th in the MW) per contest... One of only four players in the MW to rank among the top-10 of the league in both scoring and rebounding... Scored in double digits in all but two of Utah State's games during the year, including a streak of 18 straight from Nov. 19 to Jan. 24... Finished the year with a double-digit scoring streak of 11 games... Scored 20 or more points five times, including season-highs of 22 against New Mexico (1/10/15) and at Nevada (1/20/15)... Pulled down 10 or more rebounds four times during the year, including a season-high 14 at UNLV (1/24/15)... Recorded a team-high four double-doubles... Tallied 5.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.3 blocks, while playing 17.5 minutes per game... Shot 52.8 percent (66-of-125) from the field, including 38.9 percent (14-of-36) behind the 3-point arc, along with 71.1 percent (32-of-45) at the free throw line... Made Aggie debut in USC game (11/8), netting two points and pulling down one rebound... Made first career start in game versus Pacific (12/7/13) and second of career at UNLV (1/22/14), also starting against San Diego State (1/25/14) and New Mexico (1/28/14)... Played vital role in USU's wild comeback against Colorado State in MW Championships, hitting a three-pointer, forcing a turnover, grabbing an offensive rebound and two free throws, all in the final minute of action... Posted season-high 16 points in San Diego State game (1/25/14), topping previous season-best of 14 points in Air Force game (1/1/14)... Scored double-figures in the back-to-back games and three of four, netting 11 points in win over Troy (12/21/13) and 10 points against San José State (1/4/14)... Scored six or more points in 14 of 32 games, including double-figures in four total games... Scored in first eight games played before having that streak snapped by being held scoreless against Western Illinois (12/19/13)... Also registered first block of USU career in Mississippi State game (11/23/13), adding another against UC Santa Barbara (12/20/13)... Swatted career-high two blocks at UNLV (1/22/14)... Dished out season-high three assists twice and both against UC Santa Barbara, first at UC Santa Barbara (11/16/13) and again at home vs. UCSB (12/31/13), adding two helpers versus Pacific (12/7/13), San Diego Christian (12/28/13) and at Wyoming (2/1/14).
HIGH SCHOOL: Averaged 21.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game as a prep senior at Sky View High School in Smithfield, Utah, helping the Bobcats win the Utah State 4A title... Named 4A MVP, as well as being named the Logan Herald Journal Valley Player of the Year... In the 4A semifinals vs. Bountiful, drained a shot from near mid-court at the buzzer in OT for a 63-60 win, making ESPN's SportsCenter and tabbed as the No. 2 Play of the Day, as Sky View snapped Bountiful's 20-game winning streak... During senior season, netted 20 or more points in 19 of Sky View's 26 games and was held to fewer than 10 points only once... Played in the 4A Boys All-Star Game... Helped lead Sky View to the region title as both a sophomore and junior... Averaged 15 points and five rebounds per game as a junior... Was a three-year lettermen... Also competed on the Sky View track & field team, where he was the runner-up in the high jump at the 4A state championships as a sophomore, helping Sky View to the team state championship... Played for the Pump N' Run AAU team, leading them to the Las Vegas Live Tournament title in the summer of 2012.
PERSONAL: Full name is Jalen Dwaine Moore... Born in Logan, Utah... One of two boys of Jimmy and Debra Moore... Older brother, Grayson, joined the Aggies in summer of 2014 after transferring from Northwest Nazarene University and appeared in 18 games for USU during the 2015-16 season... Father, Jimmy Moore, played basketball at USU from 1972-75, and still ranks 24th all-time in school history with 1,164 career points and No. 15 all-time in rebounds with 652, and is in the USU Athletics Hall of Fame... Jimmy Moore is currently the assistant athletics director for special projects for Utah State Athletics.... Majoring in business.
