Shanks is a 7-0 center from Prior Lake, Minn., where he posted 12 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots per game at Prior Lake High School as a junior. Last season, Shanks helped the Lakers to the Minnesota Section 2AAAA semi-finals. Shanks was ranked the 77th-best center in the nation by ESPN.com following his junior season.
