∙ With the loss, Utah State is now 30-14 all-time against Boise State, including a 9-10 record in Boise and has lost five straight against the Broncos.

∙ The game marked the third straight game decided by three points or less between the two teams.

∙ The teams went into the half tied, 33-33. The game was just the second time this season that the Aggies have been tied at the half and USU is now 1-1 in those games.

∙ Utah State recorded a season-high 15 offensive rebounds and it led to a season-high 19 second-chance points.

∙ Utah State’s bench recorded 27 points, the third-highest total by the Aggie reserves this season.

∙ Utah State beat the Broncos on the boards, recording 39 rebounds to Boise State's 35. The Aggies are now 8-5 this season and 21-8 under head coach Tim Duryea when outrebounding their opponent.

Individual notes

∙ Freshman guard Sam Merrill scored in double figures for the second consecutive game and eighth time in his career with his 14 points.

∙ Freshman guard Koby McEwen scored in double figures for the fifth consecutive game and 18th time in his career with his 11 points.

∙ Redshirt sophomore forward Alexis Dargenton scored in double figures for the third time in his career with his 14 points.

∙ Junior guard Julion Pearre scored in double figures for the second time this season and for the 20th time in his career with his 11 points.

∙ Senior wing Jalen Moore scored four points and moved to No. 13 on the all-time scoring list with 1,474 career points, passing Dean Hunger (1977-80) with 1,470.

∙ Freshman guard Diogo Brito recorded a career-high three steals in a career-high-tying 18 minutes.
