Utah State at UNLV post-game quotes

Recap |  Box Score |  Notes

Utah State head coach Tim Duryea

“Really disappointing. I don’t know how we could play worse offensively after the first six or seven minutes where we made every shot. From that point on, that was an unbelievably selfish performance offensively. The ball stopped moving. We stopped moving. Our 2-point percentage was so low because our shot selection was very poor and then we missed a couple of gimmies. Just a really poor offensive performance.

“We put ourselves in a position where a lucky shot basically decided the game.  That is our fault. We had 11 assists and 13 turnovers, we got outrebounded and we got out aggressived for a little while. When we got aggressive we just played so poorly offensively and made so many poor decisions that we looked like a selfish basketball team. That hasn’t been the case lately, but that was the case tonight.”

Utah State sophomore forward Norbert Janicek

“We lost the game that we were supposed to win. The main reason we lost this game is because we were playing selfish and were not playing like we normally play. Our shot selection wasn’t as good. That was a big part of our loss tonight.”
