UTAH STATE MEN’S BASKETBALL
Post-Game Notes vs. Weber State (09/23/17)

TEAM NOTES
* Utah State had won 22 of its last 23 season openers, including both under head coach Tim Duryea, prior to tonight’s loss. All-time, USU is now 83-30 in season openers.
* Utah State was 45-17 against teams from the state of Utah dating back to the 2001-02 season prior to tonight’s loss.
* Utah State was 19-5 under Duyrea when holding opponents under 70 points prior to tonight’s loss.

PLAYER NOTES
* Senior forward Alex Dargenton (11) scored in double-figures for the fifth time in his career with 12 points. It is just the second time in his career he has led the team in scoring.
* Sophomore guard Sam Merrill (3) took a career-high three charges. Last season, Merrill was tied for the team lead with seven charges taken.
* Sophomore guard Koby McEwen (1) was held under 10 points for just the eighth time in 32 career games. It is also just the sixth time in his career he has had one or no assists.

SERIES NOTES
* Utah State is now 42-28 all-time against Weber State, including a 16-18 road record. It is the first time USU has lost consecutive games to WSU since the 1998 and 1999 seasons.
* The team that has led at the half has now won eight of the last 11 meetings, the team that scores more points in the second half has won seven of the last 11 games, the team that shoots better from the field has now won 10 of the last 11 meetings, the team with more assists has won 10 of the last 11 meetings, and the the that wins the rebounding battle has won nine of the last 11 games in the series.
