USU Men's Basketball Post-Game Notes - Weber State

Utah State is 3-1 to start a season for the second time in the last three years.
With this season's 3-1 ledger at home so far, the Aggies are now 213-19 (.918) overall at home under head coach Stew Morrill, including 107-9 (.922) in non-conference games.
USU has won 27 straight home games against in-state competition and is 29-1 (.967) at home against teams from the state of Utah under Morrill. The only in-state team to defeat USU at home under Morrill was BYU, 82-73, on Jan. 8, 2000.
The Aggies have won 31 of their last 39 games (.795) versus in-state opponents and is 38-12 (.760) against the state of Utah during the last 13 years. During that time period, USU is 7-5 versus Brigham Young, 7-4 versus Utah, 12-3 versus Weber State, 7-0 against Utah Valley and 5-0 against Southern Utah. Overall, USU is 38-17 (.691) versus teams from the state of Utah under Morrill.
USU has won 11 of the last 13 games against Weber State, including winning the last nine match-ups in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, and are now 24-8 all-time against the Wildcats in Logan.
Overall, the Aggies now own a 39-26 all-time advantage in the series, as Saturday was the 65th all-time meeting, USU's ninth-longest series.
Utah State made a season-low one three-pointer Saturday night, but the Aggies continued their streak of making a three-pointer in a game, doing so for the 203rd-straight game. The last time USU did not make a three-pointer in a game was on Dec. 16, 2006 in Provo as BYU defeated the Aggies, 75-62.
USU had season-highs for blocks (7) and free throws attempted (32), while besides the one three-pointer made, the Aggies also attempted a season-low five three-pointers.
Utah State has had a plus double-digit rebounding total in all four games this season and Saturday's 43 rebounds were its second game this season with 40 or more boards (49 vs. Saint Mary's).
The Aggies have had four or more blocked shots in all four games this season, including three games with five or more, having four against Saint Mary's.
USU is 52-18 (.743) during the month of November under head coach Stew Morrill, including 29-2 (.935) at home... The Aggies are now also 8-2 on Nov. 24.
Saturday was the 11th time in series history that USU and WSU met in the month of November and USU now owns an 8-3 record.
USU is now 2-0 against the Big Sky Conference this season and 194-99 (.662) all-time against current members of the conference while Morrill is 73-21 (.777) all-time against the league. At Utah State, Morrill is 25-7 (.781) versus the Big Sky and 12-5 (.706) against Weber State. All-time, Morrill is now 19-9 (.679) against the Wildcats, which including a 7-3 record while at Montana, an 0-1 mark while at Colorado State and a 12-5 record while at Utah State.
Junior center Jarred Shaw registered his second double-double of the season with 16 points and 12 rebounds... Shaw has led USU in rebounding in all four games so far this season.
Shaw has scored in double-figures in each of the last three games and had double-digit rebounds in two of the last three games... Shaw's seven field goals made were a season-high.
Shaw set a career-high with three blocked shots Saturday and has at least rejection in each of USU's four games.
Junior guard Preston Medlin made his 41st consecutive start and tied his season-high with 17 points Saturday... It was his 34th time in his career scoring in double-figures... Medlin's 8-of-12 free throw outing was a season-high.
Medlin swiped a career-high three steals Saturday.
Medlin's nine rebounds were a season-high and tied his career-high for the fourth time in a career.
Medlin has four assists for the second game in a row and has three or more helpers in all four games this season.
Sophomore forward Ben Clifford scored in double-figures for the first time this season with 11 points Saturday, one point shy of his career-high... It was just the fourth time in his career and first since 12 against Louisiana Tech in the WAC Tournament.
Clifford's 7-of-8 outing at the free throw line were career highs for both free throws made and attempted.
Senior forward Kyisean Reed tied his career-high for the sixth time with three blocked shots, and has at least one blocked shot in all four games this season and eight of his last nine career games played.
Freshman guard Marcel Davis registered a career-high two assists for the second-straight game.
