Nate Harris Scores 23 And Jaycee Carroll Adds 21 In USU's 76-44 Win Vs. Arkansas-Little Rock

LOGAN, Utah - Nate Harris scored 23 points and Jaycee Carroll added 21 to lead Utah State to a 76-44 win against Arkansas-Little Rock in the opening round of USU's own Gossner Foods Holiday Classic here late Thursday.
With the win USU improved to 7-3, while Arkansas-Little Rock fell to an even 6-6 on the season.
Harris scored eight of USU's first 10 points to open the game as the Aggies raced out to a 16-4 advantage. The 6-7 senior post player then had a stretch of nine straight points and 11 of USU's 13 late in the first half and early in the second half.
Carroll recorded his 21 points on three of six shooting from three-point range, while adding a career-high eight assists and a season-high seven rebounds. UALR was led by Rashad Jones-Jennings, who scored 17 points and pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.
USU out-rebounded the Trojans 38-23 and converted seven of 13 three-pointers en route to the 32-point win. The victory improved USU's tournament record to 23-0 and the Aggies will meet Binghamton in the championship game on Friday. UALR will meet Idaho State in the consolation game.
USU hit 56.6 percent of its shots on the night while holding the Trojans to 38 percent from the floor. The Aggies raced out to a 41-17 halftime advantage and never looked back in extending its current win streak to three games. USU also improved to 4-0 at home this season.
Chaz Spicer came off the Aggie bench to score 10 points, marking his third double-figure scoring game this year.
