LOGAN, Utah -
On Last Week's Games...
"You win a couple big road games and you move quickly onto the next thing. I hope that is how our team approached it after the game. I mentioned to the players that we have a long way to go. We can still get a lot better and if we relax right now it is going to bite us."
"We had two really good wins and we are excited about them. One was really ugly, but who cares. I don't really care if games are ugly on the road. I was not quit sure we would get out of there with a win but we did. Then we played much better against New Mexico State."
On Fresno State...
"Fresno State is coming in with some really talented young guys and they get up and down the floor. They are playing a bunch of freshman and have real good athletes. They have had some players that have given us fits at the guard position and you are never sure if you are going to be able to run your stuff and guard their quickness."
"They are down after losing a couple of home games in a row and that is hard. I haven't talked to Coach (Steve) Cleveland in a while, but he is a good basketball coach and they are young and dangerous."
"(Dwight) O'Neil is a wild card. They are playing him more at the point than they were. He is big and strong, and just puts his head down and goes to the basket. Back when he was a freshman you just thought this guy could be really good. He is a guy that concerns you for sure."
On Boise State...
"They are at the top of the league. Their style always creates some havoc the way they fly up and down the court. If there is anyway they can get it up and down that is the way the want to play."
On Utah State's Defense...
"There are times when we are better than others. We are getting a little bit more consistent. We are mixing in some zone, which helped us a lot on the road and we will throw that out there anytime we think it will work. Our man-to-man is getting better day-by-day, we just have to keep working at it."
On The Team's Offensive Balance...
"It is encouraging in terms of balance, you have to have balance to be effective. We have to get multiple guys that can score, including guys off the bench."
On Gary Wilkinson...
"I am glad we have him. He is providing a lot of emotion, leadership and ability, and he is playing very well right now. We need to just keep him going and keep him healthy."
